    Photovoltaic Fuses & Fuse Holders

    Photovoltaic fuses and fuse holders are mainly used in solar power systems, with a rated voltage of up to 1500V DC and a rated current of up to 50A. PV cylindrical fuses and fuse holders offer overcurrent protection for PV strings and arrays, and safeguard the charging and inverter systems against short circuits. Our photovoltaic fuses and fuse holders are used in photovoltaic power stations to protect against short circuit faults, surges, and overvoltage inverter failures. They have a rated breaking capacity ranging from 10kA to 50kA. These photovoltaic distribution products comply with the IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269.6 international standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission.

    Operating Conditions

    The suitable air temperature for our photovoltaic fuses and fuse holders can range from a maximum of 90°C to a minimum of -40°C. Moreover, the altitude of the installation site should not exceed 2000 meters, otherwise, please specify your needs so that we can design and develop accordingly.

    Structural Features

    Our photovoltaic protection products are distinguished by its innovative structure. The PV fuse component, made from 1# (99.99%) pure silver sheet or wound silver wire, undergoes a low-temperature tin soldering process, encapsulated within a robust 95 ceramic fuse tube. The fuse tube contains high-purity quartz sand, chemically treated and subjected to specialized processes, serving as an efficient arc-extinguishing medium. The fuse’s endpoints are firmly electrically connected through spot welding and contact points. The fuse base, either assembled with a plastic-pressed shell and fuse carriers or connected through rivets, provides vital support for fuses of corresponding sizes.
